Summer of Ideas

Well it's been around 6 weeks since i lasted posted anything even close to research on my blog, this is because I've been on the long summer break, and this Thursday i go back to work for my last year of high school education, so that made me think about the song or idea i wanted to use for my music video, in terms of a theme for my music video, i wanted something that was nostalgic and something that makes people think back to a point in time during their lives, so that made me think about the genre of music i wanted to use for the video, so i thought that if i wanted to make it relate to theme of nostalgia that i wanted my music video to have then i should look at artists from the 1980's/1990's and look at both their videos and how their music was constructed and played and then decide whether i will make my own song or get a local groups permission to use their music, in terms of genres of music that happened to be popular in the 80/90's pop and rock had a massive amount of influence, so possible artists to look at will include

Seal
Jamiroquai
Westlife
Take That
Blur
Oasis
Manic Street preachers

These few selections are an excellent base for looking at a very interesting genre sets, even though the first 4 are pop the type of sound  that each artist/s created was individual to that artist/s.

Over the summer the London 2012 Olympics happened, that might be something to look at in terms of how the UK has changed since the last time we hosted the Olympics.

even though the idea i have is going for a nostalgic older feel, it can tie into the future and what people might and could do.
