Finished Shooting Script

Here is the finished shooting script we will be using:
Shooting Script:
Locations for Shooting:
Wolverhampton Bus Station
West Park
Wolverhampton city centre
Approximate Filming Time (To use camera and shoot footage) 1-2 weeks
Our first location for shooting location would be the bus station to set up for the scene where the boy and girl meet up, and the whole situation that arises from the text message that appears on screen and her leaving him in the bus station alone whilst he sheds one tear.
So the order of how shooting will be done is as follows:
1.)    The area where the two meet will have 2 seats the camera will be placed in 4 different spots around the area to shoot the scene from different shots.
Mid-long shot
Over the Shoulder shot
Close Up shot
Mid-shot
(This allows us to pick the best footage to show them meeting up)
Approximate time within the film for this part is 10-15 seconds dependent on walking speed of actors as well as if transitions are used to transfer to the next shot
After which we will take a short 2-5 minute break to allow actors to readjust clothing make-up or to drink and eat. (After which the footage will be review and re-shots taken if needed)

2.)    Next we will focus on getting the phone and the female actor into position so it gives and authentic feel for the film, this will be done from 3 different shots
Over the shoulder
Close Up shot
Mid-shot
After which the camera will be moved to do a close up shot of the phone
(After which the footage will be review and re-shots taken if needed)
Approximate time for this to occur will be 15-20 seconds with the use of transitions and shifting towards the phone

3.)    Now we will be focusing on getting the right amount of emotion in the scene where the girl is angry with the guy for have texts from another girl on his phone

(The shots used will be:

A mid-long shot taken from 2 different angles and will follow the 180 degree rule unless the shot looks better from another point of view.

Close ups will also be required to get the emotion
(We might have to employ Stanislavski’s emotional memory technique to get the desired emotion.)

The phone will also be waved about in the hand of the girl to show here anger so the shots will be used to emphasise this.

This whole part should take 20-30 seconds of the music video

4.)    After this we need to shoot the girl leaving and this will be done by tracking the subject with the camera as well as getting shots of the boy looking downtrodden and upset(possibly crying) as he sees the girl walk away.

Shots required:

Long shot from the prospective of the boy and from the front of the girl to show she’s leaving him behind

As well as close-ups

Mid shots

This whole part should take 20-30 seconds of the music video

After this we will take a 15-30 minute break (or to travel within this time as well as get breakfast and drinks if people haven’t eaten in the aforementioned break) and head to west park to conclude or filming within the bus station and possibly the surrounding areas.

(The boy and girl will begin by doing all of the stuff that has been designated in the flashback scenes)
(So the dance scene on the bandstand if it isn’t in use)
If it is then a dance by the lake/pond
The couple also walking through the park and them also looking longingly into each other’s eyes
Girls mum texts here to tell her to come home because she needs her.
As well as the scene where he fades in from the flashback with his gift in hand, all of these shots have to be done first before we get him texting the girl to tell her to meet him in the park.
She and the boy will embrace and he will then present her with his gift (the contents of which will be left for the audience to imagine after which she’ll laugh/cackle at him throwing the gift box on the floor and walking away leaving the boy alone to shed 1 tear.

And this is how the shooting will be done:

1.)    The first scene shot will be the boy entering the park for a part of the music video later on.

This will take a mere 5 seconds

2.)    Because it makes more sense to get that out the way seeing as entering the park is something we will do possibly once

(This will have shots taken from 3 different positions to give us a good range of footage to edit.
Using
Mid-long shot
Mid shot
And a long shot

This should take 10 seconds of the music video

3.)    Secondly the footage of them walking hand in hand down the paths of the park and that being shot from in front of and behind them at the distance of about 2 meters, so this equates to a mid-long to mid-shot we also need to show some form of dialogue which will be muted out for the video, but gives a range of emotion that the actors can play on.

This should take 10 seconds of the music video

After this we will take a 5 minute break (for toilet uses and food and drink breaks but I figure it will just be to drink at this point) which will allow us to get the bandstand area ready for our next scene.

4.)    The girl and boy will need to do some form of waltz or cha-cha on the bandstand and they will need to dance whilst the camera spins around them to allow for the full range of movement to be captured and this leads to a slight zoom in from the mid-long shot to the point it zooms into the boy’s face and then the camera would transition to him coming out of dance on his own as he exits the flash back scene and the camera zooms out to show this.

This should take 15-20 seconds of the music video

5.)    The girl is somewhere else in the park and receives the text to go and meet the boy which is where the part where they stare longingly into each other’s eyes which then zooms in and out again to signify loneliness however whereas the boy found some optimism in the flashbacks, she finds none and continues on her way.

This should take 15 seconds of the music video

6.)    They then meet up at the black hut area at the park and embrace each other showing him smiling but her looking annoyed or sad.

This should take 5-10 seconds of the music video

7.)    Which then proceeds with them breaking apart and him giving her the gift box and this will have 3 different angles

Long Two-Shot
Mid-Long Two-Shot
Mid-Two-Shot
This should take 10-15 seconds of the music video

8.)    She needs to look inside the box and then laugh and walk away and throwing the box at him or dropping it on the floor and then she this can be done from about 5 different angles

Long Two-Shot
Mid-Long Two-Shot
Mid-Two-Shot
long shot
close-ups

This should take 15-20 seconds of the music video

And we will have 2 over the shoulder shots as well as a long shot, a mid-long shot and a mid-shot with the use of a 2-shot to portray them, and after this filming will be finished, some bits will have to be redone but this is highly unlikely as we will be taking quite a few takes to use for editing.

Approx. time for shooting should be 3-4 hours if we get everything right first time, and the following shooting day can be used if we need to re do something.

And this sums up or plan for shooting.
