Beginning My Research

Just like last year, i can't go into just making this video, i have to take time and plan it from the smallest detail,for example i have to pick a genre of music to use or a particular song, next i need to plan how my video will relate to my music and third i need to decide filming locations for my video, however the three things i just listed are the main things i need to sort for this video, i haven't even mentioned the smaller things which effectively add up to making a very good video.


The project begins in September with me picking/working with a partner/partners or by myself after i decide that or am forced to join a group then i follow this list of directions to produce the music video


Firstly i need to select music(this will most likely be done for September, however i feel like i might lean towards a Soul, R&B or Pop video)
next i then need to look at music videos of those particular genres and look for outlying characteristics of each video and list them down.

Then i would look at storyboarding my ideas of how i would go around working on my project and what it could look like

After that i will need to write to the artist whose music i select and ask for permission to use their music in my video(there's no point producing a video if i don't have the music)

Then when i get permission to use the music, i can begin scouting or looking at locations where i would like to consider shooting.

Then i would look at how i could advertise my music video through use of mediums like radio/magazines/Internet/facebook and then produce at least 2 forms of advertisement

After this i can start filming the video in my locations and put together a few promo videos to help with my advertising.

After this i would finish filming, edit the video together and release it(and submit it to the exam board)

This process will take me up to at least next may without including all of the exam based revision as well as trips which will fill the rest of the year up.

In my next few post i will be showing some of music videos of the genre's i might pick and then some songs that i'm considering using for the project because i like them.
